PUNE, June 14: "A toothbrush," says Aditi Govitrikar, is what she cannot do without. And apparently, this Puneite-turned-Mumbaikar has been like this only since she was a child. A toothbrush has been her favourite toy, her constant companion.
The brand and the colour can vary but the bristles must be there. So much so that the last thing she checks for in her make-up kit is her toothbrush – and not a lipstick or eyeshadow. “I don’t talk to anyone in the morning without brushing my teeth,” says the model. A wise thing, as Aditi likes onions and garlic, and even eats raw onions for dinner. “I love onions,” she admits. Twice Aditi has been caught without her favourite accessory and she still shudders when she recalls the incident. “I was out for a show. But the people at the hotel were kind enough to provide me with one quickly,” she says.
Aditi’s dentist, Dr Naldo, keeps her fixation in check. “My doctor has asked me not to brush my teeth more than twice a day.” So, if her toothbrush cannot remain close to her teeth, at least it is close to her heart.
