
Bangalore, March 20: Probing into the allegation that former Karnataka CHIEF minister S Bangarappa had amassed property disproportionate to his known sources of income, the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI filed a charge-sheet on Saturday before designate-judge Veeranna G Tigadi.
Following a public interest litigation by Nana Rao, the division bench of the Karnataka High Court had directed the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe the allegations and file a charge-sheet immediately.
In his public interest litigation, Nana Rao had alleged that the former chief minister had amassed property worth over Rs four crore in Bangalore, Mysore and Shimoga, which was disproportionate to his known sources of income.
