HYDERABAD, DECEMBER 15: Nearly two months after being served a notice to join duty, former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin on Friday informed his employers State Bank of India (SBI), stating that he was sick and not able to report to duty.Asked if any action would be taken in wake of corruption charges against a public servant, he said, "we received no such direction from any competent authority.""He continues to be our employee and unless we receive any communication from any competant authority our service rules does not authorise to take any action," he said."It is only after we receive any such communication that we proceed in accordance with our own service rules before taking any such action," Ballabh said, adding that thay would treat Azharuddin like any other employee.The SBI Chairman however, ruled out any change in their recruitment policy in wake of the match fixing scandal.
