NEW DELHI, MAY 31: Zakir Husain College and Delhi Audit scored identical victories in their respective groups in the DSA-OBC Institutional League Championship matches at the Ambedkar Stadium here today.
In group 1, Zakir Husain College defeated Delhi Administration 2-0 while in a group 2 encounter earlier, Delhi Aduit beat Urban Development Ministry 2-0.The triumphs have taken ZHC8217;s points to nine from four games and Audit to 10 from as many games. Within minutes of the start, ZHC8217;s inside-right Sunil Birla put the team ahead while midfielder Ram Singh completed the task by placing the ball in the 38th minute. After that ZHC did not show any great interest in the game as their opponents also simply played out time.
Delhi Audit struggled a bit against a stubborn UDM and consumed the first quarter without any worthwhile result. But come the 20th minute, they were ahead of their rivals when inside-right Sameer Jung struck.
After the interval, the teams did not show any sort of hurry and played mindless game as they indulged in aimless shots. However, in the 43rd minute Audit consolidated through Pawan Bhardwaj to seal the fate of Urban Development Ministry. They have seven points from five games so far.
