BOGOTA: Thirty-one suspected members of an international drug cartel were arrested in Colombia and Mexico, in what officials touted on Wednesday as the biggest blow to drug trafficking since the fall of the Medellin cartel. Colombian authorities arrest 30 people, and another was arrested in Mexico in an operation involving law enforcement from the United States, Ecuador and Mexico.

BRUSSELS: Tintin, the intrepid comic-book journalist who roams the world with his faithful pup Snowy, is to take the stage in a musical version of his adventures. Belgian production company TabasCo announced on Wednesday he had persuaded the family of Herge, the Belgian creator of Tintin, to get involved in the project. Moulinsart, which includes Tintin author Herge’s widow, will co-produce the all-singing, all-dancing version.

CHICAGO: The French climber, dubbed Spiderman, who is being prosecuted for climbing the Sears Tower vowed on Wednesday to come back and climb the world ‘s tallest skyscraper which isdue to be built here. “I’ll be back if I get permission to do it,” Alain Robert said here. The planned superstructure will reportedly top Malaysia’s Petronas Towers by 20.4 meters, the world’s current tallest building standing at 452 meters.
