Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) chairman Dr. H.N. Krishna has reportedly briefed CM S.M. Krishna on the facts related to a case, reported by The Indian Express on Tuesday, involving a Commission member who favoured his prospective son-in-law in the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) examinations.

The KPSC chairman called on Krishna yesterday and reportedly explained K. Mukudappa’s role in ensuring that C.N. Manjunath made it to the Assistant Commissioner’s post. The exact details of the meeting are not available. ‘‘We are looking into the issue. We need more time,’’ the KPSC chairman later told PTI. The KPSC chairman also briefed the CM about the status of the ongoing selection process that has been undertaken afresh after scandals were reported.
