Omar Abdullah may not have taken too kindly to President Pratibha Patil posing with an AK-47 during her visit to Kashmir but the Defence Ministry does not seem to find anything wrong with the photograph of a grinning head of state toying with the symbol of terror in the Valley. Despite the controversy, the latest edition of the MoD’s official publication, Sainik Samachar, has a centrespread on the presidential visit with a prominent picture of Patil “inspecting” arms captured from militants. The title of the article? ‘Sublime care, Supreme Command’.
