Andhra8217;s Y S Rajasekhara Reddy Government is caught in a bind, thanks to the cash-strapped Chief Minister8217;s Relief Fund CMRF.

All these years, a number of donors, philanthropists and voluntary organisations donated money to the CMRF, just enough to cater to relief-seekers in the State.

But now, the spurt in demand for relief has squeezed the CMRF dry. As a result, the Government has decided to get budgetary support from the next financial year.

The demand for relief for medical treatment, say officials, has gone up three to four times after Rajasekhara Reddy took over as Chief Minister.
