In A desperate bid to regain power, the Congress is facing charges of making one final, underhand, bid to garner the Dalit vote. And the charge is being made by none other than the BSP itself.
Today BSP national general secretary Gandhi Azad disowned newspaper advertisements that have appeared asking voters to avenge the insult to Mayawati by keeping the BJP out of power. He also released copies of what he called a forged Mayawati letter asking voters to choose the Congress in seats where the BSP candidate does not stand a chance. Local Madhya Pradesh newspapers were today full of news items, attributed to sources, announcing this.
The 8216;8216;forged8217;8217; Mayawati letter tells 8216;8216;samasthya sathigan all colleagues8217;8217; that it would not be wrong to vote for the Congress wherever they feel the BSP candidate does not stand a chance of winning.
