CHANDIGARH, Dec 17: The police remand of Surjit Kaur, who was arrested yesterday for allegedly committing theft, was today extended by two days by Judicial Magistrate Ist Class K.C. Garg.She was yesterday remanded to one-day police custody. The prosecution requested for extension in police remand on ground that just Rs 1.42 lakh had been recovered out of the total stolen amount of Rs 5 lakh. The police required more time to recover the remaining amount, it was argued.Surjit will now be produced in court on Dec 19.
