CHENNAI, August 24: The services of A N Sivaraman, former editor of the Tamil newspaper `Dinamani’, to the freedom struggle, were recalled at a function orgnaised to felicitate him here. Speaking on the occasion, Cho Ramaswamy, editor of the Tamil magazine `Tughlak’, said Sivaraman had discontinued his studies to participate in the non-cooperation movement, and was also imprisoned because of his involvement in the salt satyagraha.
