Bangkok, February 3: Indian golfers continued to bring in low scores after the penultimate round of the second Grohe Masters and today was Harmeet Kahlon’s turn to card a 66. His bogey-free six-under-par round started with a five-footer for birdie on the par-three fourth hole with a 240 E class Mercedes on offer for a hole-in-one.

He made another birdie on the par-five seventh to make the turn at two-under-par, 34. However, he got going on the back nine, where he birdied the par-four 10th, the par-five 14th, the par-four 15th and the par-three 17th hole to take his score to eight-under for the tournament. Also shooting a 66, Kang Wook-soon grabbed a share of the lead and tied yesterday’s leader Thongchai Jaidee who shot a 68 today an managed to stay ahead.

Eric Meeks and Jyoti Randhawa, carded identical scores of 71, which placed the former in fourth place at fourteen-under and Jyoti at sole fifth place with his three round total of thirteen-under-par for 54 holes. Starting with a bogey on the par-five 1st hole, Jyoti just couldn’t settle down to hole the birdie putts required to move up the scoreboard.

However, he birdied the seventh and eighth hole to turn at 35. The back nine consisted on one bogey accounted for by a birdie, to finish with a one-under-par for the day and five strokes off the lead. Harmeet overtook Vivek Bhandari and is currently tied at 17th place, while Vivek shot a 71, which took his three-day total to seven-under-par and left him tied at 22nd place. Amritinder Singh and Digvijay, the other two Indian golfers to survive the cut shot 73 and 74, respectively.
