PUNE, July 8: Judicial magistrate V S Gulwani has sentenced Satish Pabalkar, a clerk working in the regional provident fund commissioner8217;s office, to five-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 6000 for bigamy.A police camplaint against Pabalkar was filed by his second wife who is working in the same office as him and belongs to a backward community. She had charged that Pabalkar had married her fraudulently by not disclosing his first marriage. She also alleged that Pabalkar continued to live with his first wife and children. Police filed the chargesheet against Pabalkar under sections 494, 495 and 496 of the Indian Penal Code IPC.
