CHANDIGARH, Aug 12: Around 200 students from Chandimandir based schools participated in an on-the-spot painting competition organised as a part of the "Van Mahotsav", being observed by the Western Command.

The theme for the competition was environment and nature conservation. The participants were divided into three categories: Classes IX to XII, Classes V to VIII and toddlers.

There will be three prizes in each category. The results, to be decided by a panel of officers, will be declared during the concluding function tomorrow.

Another painting competition for the physically handicapped students from Aasha School will also be held tomorrow.
