15 tie the nuptial knot at mass marriage

The Punjab Dalit Chetna Manch on Sunday solemnised the marriages of 15 couples belonging to poor families. The ceremony took place at Ramgarhia Bhawan in Phase 3B2 in Mohali.

The Punjab Dalit Chetna Manch on Sunday solemnised the marriages of 15 couples belonging to poor families. The ceremony took place at Ramgarhia Bhawan in Phase 3B2 in Mohali.

Manch President Shamsher Singh and his wife 8212; municipal councillor Baljit Kaur, who is also the press secretary of the Manch, were among the prominent persons, who blessed the newlyweds.

Singh said household and daily use products worth Rs 50,000 were given to each newly-wed couple.nbsp;

In Panchkula, marriage of 16 couples was solemnised at the Aggarwal Bhawan, in Sector 16. The function was organised by the Aggarwal Vikas trust to celebrate the Mahraja Agrasen Jayanti. Pawan Kumar Bansal, Union minister of state for Finance,was the chief guest on the occasion.
