🚨 Big Story

🔴 First time since the violence broke out in Manipur on May 3, the state government on Monday put the official toll at 60. The Supreme Court expressed “deep concern over the loss of lives and properties” and emphasised the need to take “all necessary precautions for the rehabilitation of the displaced persons”, “protect places of religious worship”, and ensure “due arrangements in relief camps to provide all basic amenities”.

🔴 Army trucks carrying 500-odd people, who were stranded in relief camps in Churachandpur district, reached Imphal’s Khuman Lampak Sports Complex on Monday evening amid heavy security. A similar number of people stranded in relief camps in Imphal too had reached Churachandpur.
