Your water bottle, a notepad, headphones, millions of post-its, a half-eaten packet of chips from last week, a cluster of wires. These are the things that normally occupy a person’s work desk. Some of us spend hours cleaning this mess up, while some of us have found our outlet in this chaos. But did you know your productivity levels can be affected by the clutter on your desk?

According to Vipul Pirgal and Divyansh Sanklecha, Founder of Curio Casa, our external surroundings can “dictate how we deal with tasks, respond to inevitable challenges that might arise in everyday work, and how we internally feel about these challenges.”

According to them, notepads are a must when it comes to maintaining your thoughts and taking down important notes as and when required. “They would also allow easy flow of thoughts and ideas through brainstorming sessions.”

Decorate with plants

A small green succulent can be an absolute mood lifter through difficult days, according to Pirgal and Sanklecha. “It looks aesthetic and adds a breath of fresh air to your otherwise boring space.”

Mobile holders can come in handy

We do most of our work through our phones in this day and age, so the founders of Curio Casa recommend using mobile holders. “Having your phone in sight and handy when needed would be a welcome relief,” they said.
