Anshula Kapoor has consistently shared her thoughts on life, love, loss, and grief with her followers. She seizes every opportunity to offer a glimpse into her daily experiences and reflections. This was evident once again last evening when she wrote a heartfelt note dedicated to her 21-year-old, reminiscing about the events of the past 10 years.

“Dear 21-year-old Anshula, at the cusp of entering adulthood, when you lost mom, I know you felt like life as you know it is over. I know you didn’t think you would be able to live or thrive or love again,” she wrote, opening up about her mother Mona Kapoor’s death.

While she didn’t have any hope 11 years back, Anshula is now proud to have come this far. “But 11 years later, I just want to take a moment to tell you how proud I am that you found a way to keep going, no matter how tough it got. Even when you couldn’t see the road ahead, through the ambiguity, the grief, and the heartbreak,” she wrote further.

Anshula applauded herself for not losing hope “through every loss, through every mental and physical setback”. “You found your way back to yourself. You found joy again, you’ve metamorphosed into a stronger and happier you. You’ve made mistakes and learned from them. Picked up the pieces and moved forward. You’ve learned to forgive, learned to ask for help when you need it. And you found a reason to keep living,” she added.

Towards the end, Anshula expressed gratitude for never giving up on herself. “Thank you for never giving up on yourself. #ThankYouForComing through when it mattered the most. You did good, kid!” she wrote.

She concluded by saying she is proud of her journey. “I am proud of how far you’ve come, how you’ve learnt to love every part of yourself, become comfortable in your own skin and learnt how to chase joy again,” she wrote.
