‘Whatever’ tops Most Annoying Word poll in US!

According to the Marist poll,47 per cent of the country’s population said there’s no phrase more annoying than “whatever.”

Others in the most irritating phrases list were: “you know” netted 25 per cent of the vote; “it is what it is” got 11 per cent; “anyway” got 7 per cent; and “at the end of the day” ended the day with 2 per cent,reports CBS News.

The telephone survey,based on 938 responses,had a margin of error of 3.5 per cent.

Respondents were selected from a list of telephone exchanges from around the country.
