Actor Hina Khan has been named one of the ‘most-searched actors of the year’ on the ‘2024 Google Year in Search global list’, securing the 5th spot. However, she approached this recognition with remarkable humility and introspection.
In an Instagram story, Khan shared her perspective on this unexpected recognition. “I see a lot of people putting up stories and congratulating me on this new development, but honestly, for me, it’s neither an achievement nor something to be proud of,” she wrote.
Her message was deeply reflective, emphasising her desire to be remembered for her professional accomplishments rather than her health challenges. “I wish and pray that no one should be Googled because of their diagnosis or any health-related hardships. I have always appreciated people’s genuine regard and respect for my journey. In these testing times, I would rather be Googled or known or acknowledged for my work and my accomplishments…just like I have been before and during my diagnosis.”

Currently undergoing chemotherapy, Khan has been consistently sharing updates about her treatment, offering followers an intimate glimpse into her challenging journey.
A few days ago, during a trip to Ahmedabad, she opened up about her struggles with neuropathic pain, a side effect of chemotherapy that has significantly impacted her daily life. “Legs ekdum numb hojate hai, so I will rest in the hotel before I can go about the rest of the day,” she said in a YouTube video.
In her most recent post, she candidly discussed the mental and physical toll of her treatment. “To overcome all the pain and so much more, I had to find balance — to consciously choose positivity, to wear deliberate smiles in the hope that real joy would naturally follow. And it did,” she shared. Her powerful message continued: “That’s my message to myself and to all of you out there: Life doesn’t move forward just because we say it does. We need to make the choice to persevere, irrespective of our circumstances, every single day — over and over again.”
