Glenfiddich awarded 8 gold medals at I’ntl Spirits Challenge 2013

Single malt scotch whisky receives 14 medals from the Scotch Whisky Masters.

Glenfiddich has been awarded eight gold medals at the International Sprits Challenge. The single malt scotch whisky also swept the board at the Scotch Whisky Masters 2013,winning 14 medals,including three masters and another eight gold medals.

“With this win,Glenfiddich,the world’s most awarded single malt scotch whisky has added another feather in its hat. We are glad that time and again Glenfiddich goes on impress both the consumers and the jury at such renowned platforms,” said Rajiv Bhatia,Director,William Grant & Sons,India.

Brian Kinsman,Glenfiddich’s Malt Master,added: “This year is an extra special year for Glenfiddich,as we celebrate 125 years of pioneering spirit and innovation; this latest win is testament to our founder William Grant’s vision to create the ‘best dram in the valley’.”

Now in its 18th year,the International Spirit’s Challenge awards are announced in the June issue of Drinks International. A leading event in promoting quality spirits from around the world,the competition is tough,receiving over 1,000 entries from over 70 countries,with each whisky undergoing a blind taste test from each member of the judging panel. The panel comprised of whisky experts from across the globe,headed up by John Ramsay,who has over 40 years experience in the whisky industry.
