After Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi takes the oath of office on Sunday evening, BJP chief JP Nadda is set to host a dinner later for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s members of Parliament (MPs). According to news agency ANI, the menu of the dinner hosted by JP Nadda would feature an array of dishes perfect for combating the summer heat.

Some highlights, ANI reported, include refreshing juices and shakes, stuffed litchi, matka kulfi, mango cream, and raita — specifically chosen for their cooling effect, ideal for the warm weather.

In addition to these summer treats, the menu has a rich selection of traditional dishes. There will be Jodhpuri sabzi, a flavourful vegetable curry from Rajasthan, dal (lentils), and dum biryani, a slow-cooked rice dish infused with spices and aromatic herbs.

For those who prefer millet, the menu includes bajra khichdi, a nutritious dish made from pearl millet. This choice reflects the growing trend of healthy eating and the inclusion of traditional grains in modern diets.

The beverage section is equally impressive, offering five types of juices and shakes to provide a refreshing complement to the meal. Three types of raita, a yogurt-based side dish, will also be available, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Dessert enthusiasts are in for a treat with a selection of eight types of desserts. Highlights include white rasmalai, a popular Indian sweet made from paneer and soaked in creamy milk, and four varieties of ghewar, a traditional Rajasthani sweet.
