Chhota Shakeel’s brother Anwar, drug lord Salim Dola among 19 named in chargesheet

According to the police Electricwala was allegedly paid Rs 50 lakhs by a gang linked to Dawood Ibrahim to manufacture mephedrone, which he failed to deliver.

Chhota ShakeelElectricwala, who had been abducted by the gang, on the other hand has claimed that he was paid the money to purchase some properties.

THE MUMBAI crime branch Thursday filed a chargesheet against 14 persons and named four persons, including gangster Chhota Shakeel’s brother, Anwar, and druglord Salim Dola, as wanted accused in a case related to the alleged abduction of one Sajid Electricwala and his aide on June 13.

According to police, Electricwala was allegedly paid Rs 50 lakh by a gang linked to Dawood Ibrahim to manufacture mephedrone, which he failed to deliver. Police eventually rescued him on July 16 from Uttar Pradesh. The accused claimed that they abducted Electricwala as neither did he provide the drugs nor did he return the money. Police charged the accused under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
