However, you might be tired of wearing it the same way. But don’t worry. There are lots of interesting ways to drape your dupatta and they are easy to replicate.

So, get ready to jazz up your outfit with these simple ideas by Dolly Jain, the celebrity drape artist who is known for her impeccable sari and dupatta draping skills, and has styled just about every top Bollywood bride, including Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. She was also behind Sara Ali Khan’s 2023 Cannes Film Festival look and Deepika Padukone’s saree drape for the same festival last year.

Recently, Jain took to Instagram to share a reel, revealing three absolutely unique ways to drape a dupatta. “Trust me, it’s as easy as it gets and each style will give you an all-new look, even if you’re wearing the same lehenga,” she wrote in the caption. “Here’s the best part: Not only are you able to switch up your style game effortlessly but by doing so, you’re also helping the environment by reducing your carbon footprint and eliminating the need for multiple outfits,” Jain added.

The first style she revealed was a sari-inspired drape, with one end of the dupatta pinned at the front of the lehenga, and the other end flowing behind like a sari’s open pallu. It is a simple yet chic way to create an entirely different outfit.

For the second look, she artfully draped the dupatta in an asymmetrical manner that covered the blouse, giving it a fun twist. You can opt for this style if you’re looking for something out of the box.

And for the third look–wait for it–Jain transformed the dupatta into a one-shoulder cape, utilising only two safety pins. These three dupatta draping styles are not just drop-dead gorgeous but can be easily copied.
