Cannes 2023: Indian celebrities strike a pose on the red carpet

Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes debut in a pastel lehenga with a long veil by the fashion designers duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She completed the look with traditional Indian jewellery.

The designers through an Instagram post wrote that the Kedarnath actor arrived at the red carpet in an exquisite hand-embroidered multi-panel skirt. “The intricate shadow work embroidery, adorning each unique panel, showcases a mesmerizing calendar of designs from our archives of couture down the years,” they added.

The duo also highlighted that Sara’s ensemble is masterpiece of craftsmanship, with a resplendent blouse with intricate work in crystals, pearls, and resham work.

Adding to the allure, the ensemble features two drapes in tulle—an enchanting one-shoulder drape and a long head veil. “Both drapes boast the finest shadow work, with the head veil embellished with tiny shadow dots and intricate borders,” the statement from the duo read.

The former Miss World winner looked stunning in a white tulle gown by fashion designer house Fovari. The ensemble featured off-shoulder details, a corset bodice, a plunging neckline, and a long train with frills throughout. She styled her hair in soft waves with a middle parting and opted for minimal makeup, keeping her gown as the center of attention.

Esha Gupta sported a pastel pink gown with dramatic collars, cascading to a plunging neckline with delicate lace flowers on the neck designed by Nicolas Jebran Couture. The dress also featured a thigh-high slit. She accessorised the look with silver block heels from Casadei and dangling earrings. As for makeup, she went for pink tones and styled her hair in a bun with loose strands. She looked gorgeous as ever in this outfit!

Urvashi Rautela walked down the red carpet in a pink gown. Her outfit featured tiered layers of floral ruffles.
