Motherhood is all about evolving and growing along with your child.
Actor Sonali Bendre, who recently penned a book on parenting, “The Modern Gurukul: My Experiment with Parenting”, claims that the book is about her achievements and challenges as a first-time mother.
“The book’s being within me since my child was born. Initially, I thought I’m going to ace motherhood, but soon after my son was born I realised that I’m not a superwoman after all”, says Bendre who’s married to filmmaker Goldie Behl.
She further adds, “The book is a compilation of collected thoughts and observations that I kept a note of. And then friends and family pushed me to go for it, that’s how it started”.
For the actor, this endeavour is a very personal affair and it was hard for her to share her life’s experiences in her debut book. Also, the fear of being judged made her apprehensive about it, but she’s glad she did it.
