UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2023 admit card released; steps to download

Interested students can download the admit card from the official website - upsc.gov.in. UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination will be held on May 28 and the main exam will commence from September 15.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2023 admit card: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today released the admit card for its Civil Services preliminary exam 2023. Candidates who have applied can download the admit card from the official website – upsc.gov.in.

UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination will be held on May 28 and the main exam will commence from September 15. The Preliminary exam will be held in a total of 79 centres across the country. Each candidate is eligible for six attempts while the SC/ST category candidates are allowed unlimited attempts and OBC candidates are allowed nine attempts each.

UPSC Civil Services 2023: Steps to download admit card

Step 1: Visit the official website – upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the UPSC Prelims admit card link on the home page.

Step 3: Enter your details like the roll number or registration ID and and Date of Birth.

Step 4: The admit card will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Save the admit card for future reference.

“Bring the e-Admit Card (print out) along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall. E-Admit Card must be preserved till the declaration of the final results of the Civil Services Examination, 2023,” stated the official notice.

Entry to exam hall will be closed 10 minutes before the commencement of exam, i.e., at 9:20 am for the forenoon session and 2:20 pm for the afternoon session.

The rules further stated, “answers other than those marked by Black Ball Point Pen will not be evaluated.” There will be negative marking for all wrong answers.

There are 1105 vacancies which will be filled via the exam. There will be negative marking for the wrong answers in the objective type questions. The last date to register for the exam was February 21.
