Sixty-year-old Kaur completed her BCom (Hons) from Panjab University. Kaur’s appointment comes after nearly 12 years of working at HSBC, where she held several senior positions, including group chief risk and compliance officer. Kaur has a strong academic background in finance and accounting. She has an MBA in Finance from the University of Leeds. This year, under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Panjab University ranked 38 with a score of 55.11.
In the 2023 NIRF rankings, the University ranked 25 with a score of 54.86. PU also found its place in the QS World University Rankings. The University achieved a ranking in the 101-150 bracket. She is also a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Pam also qualified as a chartered accountant at Ernst and Young and started her career at Citibank in the internal audit department. She joined HSBC in April 2013 and has been working under various departments.
