Indian Railways, Vande Bharat Express Trains 2025 Full List, Speed, Routes: With the launch of Vande Bharat Express trains, Indian Railways has significantly improved rail connectivity between two distances. Designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, these semi-high-speed trains have registered full occupancies since their inception.
The overall occupancy of Vande Bharat Express trains in the financial year 2024-25 is 102.01 per cent. However, in the ongoing fiscal year i.e. FY26, the passenger occupancy of these new age trains are 105.03 per cent (till June 2025).
“The overall occupancy of Vande Bharat Express trains in Financial Year 2024-25 & 2025-26 (till June, 2025) is 102.01% & 105.03% respectively,” Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed Lok Sabha on Wednesday (July 30, 2025).

When did Vande Bharat train introduced in India?
The first Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019, on the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route. It is also the country’s first indigenously-developed semi-high-speed train.
The Vande Bharat Express can run up to a maximum speed of 160 kmph. The train offers passengers a faster, more comfortable, and premium travel experience.
How many Vande Bharat trains are there in India?
At present, 150 Vande Bharat Express train services are operational across the country.
