Three girls fall unconscious after ragging in girlss college

Three girls fell unconscious after they were allegedly beaten up by senior students during ragging at the Bokaro Polytechnic Mahila College in Bokaro,police said.

Three girls fell unconscious today after they were allegedly beaten up by senior students during ragging at the Bokaro Polytechnic Mahila College here today,police said.

After the three students lost consciousness,though for a brief period,the junior and senior students were indulged in a scuffle in the college campus.

Sources said the junior students were demanding removal of a lady teacher,Sushil Ekka. Ekka allegedly did not intervene though she knew about the ragging.

The students were also demanding action against some senior students who were allegedly involved in the ragging.

Meanwhile,the district administration has deployed women police in the college campus to ease the tension.

The college authorities were not available for immediate comments.
