State BJP took a dig at the Congress Government in Delhi for its ambitious projects relating to water and power, alleging that authorities were not even able to meet the current needs of the people in the national capital.
“Half of the Delhi population is craving for drops of water and power supply and the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is promising of grand future plans to divert the attention of the public from the current problems,” BJP Delhi President O P Kohli said.
He alleged that people had to suffer as they were not informed of the annual repair work going on at the water treatment plants at Chandrawal and Wazirabad.
The state BJP president also attacked Dikshit for blaming the shortage in services to the rising population in the city.
“People come and settle in Delhi for employment. It is the responsibility of the state government to provide all the basic amenities to them,” Kohli added.
