NDFB threatens on fake encounters

The NDFB warned the Centre and the Assam govt of retaliation if killings of its cadres continued.

The banned NDFB today claimed that its cadres were being killed in the name of fake encounters and warned the Centre and the Assam government of retaliation if such killings continued.

In an e-mail to local TV news channels,deputy chief of the groups anti-talk faction B Jwngkhang accused the state and central governments of fake encounters in the name of NDFB.

School students,cultivators and innocent Bodo people are being killed by Indian forces, it claimed.

From today onwards if any innocent Bodo or NDFB cadre is killed by Indian forces in the name of fake encounter,then we will take action against any Indian. One innocent Bodos life will be equal to the lives of 20 Indians or even more, the e-mail said.

Today,Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) deputy chief Kampha Borgiary went to meet NDFB chief Ranjan Daimary at the Nagaon central jail. Borgiary is the chief convenor of a two-day Bodo national convention in Kokrajhar from November 11 for a unification drive by 25 Bodo political and non-political organisations for solving the problems of the Bodos.
