To generate more employment opportunities for the youth in the state,especially in the rural areas,the Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to spend Rs 1,600 crore under MGNREGA during the next fiscal.
“The state government has a proposal to incur Rs 1600 crore during the next financial year under MGNREGA in the state so that poor people can get employment opportunities,besides the development of far flung areas of the state,” Minister for Rural Development Ali Mohammad Sagar has said.
Sagar was addressing rallies at Tangmarg,Kunzer and Singpora Pattan in Baramulla district of north Kashmir yesterday.
He said Rs 600 crore are being spent in the state under NREGA during the current financial year so that more and more employment opportunities are provided to the unemployed youth in the state,particularly in rural areas.
