Demanding a high-level committee to assess losses suffered due to terrorism,an organisation fighting for militancy victims of Jammu today accused the J-K government of ignoring 12,000 migrant families in the region.

“We accuse the state government of ignoring the 12,000 migrant families and about 8 lakh militancy-affected people in Jammu province,” general secretary of Tehreek-Insaf,Ravinder Raina told reporters at a function here.

“Despite our repeated requests,the government did not spare any time to listen us,” he said,adding that nobody is listening to the plight of Jammu migrants.

Raina demanded the constitution of a high-level committee to assess the losses suffered by militancy-affected people in Kishtwar,Doda,Ramban,Reasi,Kathua,Rajouri and Poonch districts.

He also demanded an economic package for the affected people and reservations to their children in educational institutions,especially in professional colleges.
