Jharkhand: Bus driver killed in firing by security forces

Incident occurred after driver refused to stop at a check point in Moist-hit area.

A bus driver was killed on Tuesday when security personnel allegedly opened fire at his vehicle after he ignored a warning to stop at a check point in the Maoist-hit area of Palamu district.

The incident occurred in Sultani Ghati area of the district when CRPF and district police personnel asked the driver to stop at the check point,police sources said,adding that a passenger suffered serious injuries in the incident.

The injured passenger was rushed to the district hospital in Medininagar but doctors referred him to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences,Ranchi following primary treatment.
