Good Friday observed in Mizoram

Church bells rang all over the state as people went to churches to worship.

Good Friday was observed in Christian-dominated Mizoram with religious fervour and solemnity today.

Catholic church members took out a ‘procession of the cross’ here and at other places and held mass to commemorate the sufferings of Christ on the cross.

According to Christian belief,Christ was crucified to save the world from sin and doom so that mankind,condemned to death due to sin would be redeemed.
