Lashing out at the separatists and some mainstream political parties, including ruling National Conference for internationalising the issue of Jammu and Kashmir,he said,”Inspite of their best efforts they have failed and at last the UN decided to remove the state from the list of disputed category.”

The development has come as a setback to Pakistan which has been asking the world body to intervene on the issue.

“This step has recognised our internal strength to deal with our own problems without intervention and mediation from any third party, including United Nations,” he said, adding that India is a “powerful” country and can solve its disputes without assistance of any external power.
