1 killed,21 injured in road mishaps in J-K

20 passengers were injured when a bus skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge at Battle Morh.

One person was killed and 21 others were injured in two separate road mishaps in Udhampur and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir,police officials said.

20 passengers were injured when a bus skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge at Battle Morh,about 60-kms from Jammu,in Udhampur district this morning,they said.

The bus was on its way from Udhampur to Billawar when its driver lost control over the vehicle,they said.

Police rushed to the spot and extricated the injured from the accident site and shifted them to district hospital at Udhampur,they said.

In yet another accident,one person was killed and another injured when a car in which they were travelling rolled down into a river in Poonch town,about 250-kms from Jammu,in the wee hours,they said.

The deceased has been identified as Amit Kumar and injured as Mohammad Salim,they said.
