Though Congress and NC have offered support to PDP in government formation so as to stop BJP from coming to power in the state, the former appears to be reluctant to accept the offer as it would mean a Muslim government barring Hindus of Jammu region.

The BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav too had met the Governor on Tuesday. The BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma is meeting him on Thursday for informal discussion on government formation.

However, BJP too has hinted on seeking time from Governor on submitting its proposal on government formation. “We are not in a hurry to form government,” said Sharma ruling out the possibility of Governor rule in the state.
