The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made three more arrests -- two medical students from Rajasthan and one of the alleged masterminds -- in connection with the NEET-UG leak case, The Indian Express has learnt. The arrested have been identified as Kumar Manglam Bishnoi and Deependra Kumar, two students from Rajasthan’s Bharatpur Medical College, and Shashi Kumar Paswan alias Paasu, a B.Tech (electronic engineering) from NIT Jamshedpur. While Bishnoi, a second-year medical student, and Deependra Kumar, a first-year student, were both named as part of the “solver module” and were among those who solved the NEET-UG paper that was eventually leaked and circulated, Paswan has been named as one of the main accused and “masterminds” in the case and is believed to be working closely with Rockey and Kumar -- two others previously arrested. According to official sources in Rajasthan, the two medical students were arrested from Bharatpur on July 18 while Paswan was arrested from Patna. This takes the total number of arrests in the six NEET-UG cases that CBI is investigating to 21. With inputs from PTI
