Manipur: Villagers clash over boundary dispute, 3 killed

The incident, apparently the fallout of a boundary dispute, also left many others injured, prompting the authorities to impose an indefinite curfew in the area. An FIR has been registered and investigation is on, police said.

At least three persons, two civilians and a jawan of the Manipur Rifles, died of gunshot wounds in a firefight between the residents of two villages in the Ukhrul district of Manipur on Wednesday.

Those killed have been identified as civilians Reileiwung Hongray and Silas Zinkhai, and Worinmi Thumbra of the Manipur Rifles.
