Deceased Covid patient's body cremated in Imphal allegedly without informing his family members

Jugindro’s family members said while they were trying to obtain permission from the concerned deputy commission for performing his last rites, his body was cremated by the Imphal Municipal Council without informing them.

IIT-Roorkee professors reach Imphal to study quake-hit buildings

Imphal, Jan 08 (ANI): Expert team of Professors from IIT-Roorkee reached Imphal in Manipur to check the buildings that were damaged in the recent earthquake. Almost 513 buildings and structures were reportedly damaged across Manipur when a powerful 6.8 magnitude pre-dawn earthquake struck the state. The earthquake resulted in huge loss of life and property. A senior official of the state Public Works Department (PWD) said that the visiting experts’ team would also assess other areas of the state and visit damaged structures.
