Day 5: In the first five days of the Kumbh Mela, more than 7 crore devotees have bathed in the Sangam, with the total expected to exceed 50 crore by the end of the 45-day festival. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts clear skies over Prayagraj this Friday, with minimum temperatures dipping to 10.4°C and maximums reaching 20.4°C.
Traffic Arrangements for (snan) Bathing Days: Traffic regulations will establish designated no-vehicle zones in and around the Mela area on key bathing days—Amavasya (January 29), Basant Panchami (February 3), Maghi Purnima (February 12), and Maha Shivratri (February 26). Diversions and no-vehicle zones will be enforced starting one day before and continuing until one day after these bathing days. For Mauni Amavasya, the restrictions will be in place from two days prior to two days after the event.
Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev made a courtesy call on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence here on Friday, according to an official statement.
The founder of the Isha Foundation also met saints at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Thursday.

In just six days of the Maha Kumbh Mela, more than seven crore devotees, Kalpavasis and revered seers have taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
The Uttar Pradesh government estimates that more than 45 crore people will attend the Maha Kumbh this time, according to an official statement.
With such a massive influx of devotees, the security of the crowd is a major challenge for the Maha Kumbh Police, the statement said.
However, the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), set up in the fair area, is proving to be a boon in managing the crowd.

A temporary Blinkit store has been set up at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj to cater to the needs of pilgrims and tourists, shared Blinkit Founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa in a LinkedIn post.
The compact 100 sq. ft. store will deliver essentials to key locations, including Arail Tent City, Dome City, ITDC Luxury Camp, Devrakh, and other prominent areas of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
"Our teams are prepared to deliver a specially curated range of items, including pooja essentials, milk, curd, fruits, and vegetables (for personal use and donations), as well as chargers, power banks, towels, blankets, bedsheets, and more. We’ve even stocked Triveni Sangam Jal bottles," Dhindsa mentioned in the post.
