Ten get lifer in dacoity and murder case

Ten people were sentenced to life imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 5,000 was imposed on each of them by a local court.

Ten people were sentenced to life imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 5,000 was imposed on each of them by a local court in connection with an armed dacoity and murder at a petrol pump.

On September 12,2007,Anup Kumar,an employee of a petrol pump in Nayagaon Mubarakpur village,was looted of Rs 24,000 by armed robbers and later murdered by them,Assistant District Government Counsel Rakesh Kumar Agnihotri said.

11 people were arrested by the police on the basis of an FIR lodged by the petrol pump owner Akhilesh Agarwal and filed a charge sheet against them.

After hearing both the sides,Sessions Magistrate of the fast track court Ram Milan Singh held Bhag Singh,Pratap,Madho,Dal Chand,Nanuha,Nokhe,Sher Singh,Raju and Suresh guilty.

One of them accused Jai Singh was acquitted by the court for lack of evidence,he said.
