Dharmendra health: Shatrughan Sinha meets Hema Malini as veteran actor recovers at home

Dharmendra, 89, was hospitalised in Mumbai on October 31 and remained under medical care for over a week. He was discharged on November 12 and is now recuperating at home. Recently, fellow actor Shatrughan Sinha and wife Poonam Sinha visited Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini and inquired about the veteran actor’s health.

Sharing a couple of photos from the meet on his X account, Shatrughan wrote, “Along with my ‘bestest half’ @PoonamSinha went to meet, greet & God Bless, our very dear family friend, one of the finest human beings, star/actress, par excellence, artist of the highest calibre, an able Parliamentarian @dreamgirlhema Our prayers are with them all & we inquired about ‘his’ our elder brother’s & the family’s wellbeing too.”

Earlier, Shatrughan Sinha shared a clip from The Kapil Sharma Show featuring Dharmendra and wrote, “With love regards, great well-being, God Bless for our beloved, my elder brother Dharmji. Sharing this beautiful clip from ‘TKSS’…pure entertainment! #SundayHumourSpecial.”

Veteran actor Dharmendra, 89, was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after reportedly experiencing breathlessness. During his hospital stay, several false rumours about his death circulated online. Reacting to this, Hema Malini posted on X, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”

She also shared a photo of Dharmendra earlier and wrote, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him.🙏 I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”

Dharmendra’s son and actor Sunny Deol also lost his temper with photographers stationed outside his home following his father’s hospital discharge. Following this, filmmaker Karan Johar, Nikitin Dheer, Ameesha Patel, and IFTDA president Ashoke Pandit slammed the paparazzi.
