Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah,who took charge today at a glittering ceremony here,expressed happiness at being appointed to the gubernatorial post and assured to discharge his duties as per the laws. "Tamil Nadu is a significant state in terms of politics. I am very happy and previleged (to take over as Governor of the state)," he told reporters in Tamil after the swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. The 78 year-old former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister said he would discharge his duties "as per laws." Rosiah,who said he had been an active political worker for long,had 'ceased' to be so after 4.22 pm when he took oath as Governor of the state. Holding that he had high regard for the media,Rosaiah said he would have regular interaction with the scribes.
