Don’t speculate till you get Ayodhya order copy: HC to media

As per a statement issued by the registrar of the Lucknow bench,a request has been made to the media not to speculate about the judgement until they have a copy of the issues answered by the court and the operational part of the order.

Outlining a list of measures to prevent any untoward incident within and outside the court premises in Lucknow,the release said that special arrangements will be made in the collectorate compound by the district administration for the media covering the verdict. A special website would be made available on which the gist of the issues and operational part of the order and final judgement will be made available.

Lawyers who have no listed matters on that date would be requested not to come to the court and only those whose cases are listed will be allowed after collecting passes besides requesting the litigants to avoid coming to the court.

Entry in the court room where the judgement is pronounced would be restricted only to parties and their lawyers who will be given special passes on that date.

Mobile phones would not be allowed in the court room where no staff members except those directly connected with the court proceedings would be allowed entry.

On the directions of the High Court,the district administration is making arrangements for briefing the media on the verdict in the collectorate compound,Sagar said.

This step has been taken in order to avoid unnecessary crowding in the court compound on the day.
