Kannur registers highest temperature in four years, sets new maximum record for February

The temperatures set a new record in Kannur for the month of February, with Monday’s temperature exceeding the previous maximum of 39.4°C, registered on February 26 and 27, 2023.

The previous all-time maximum temperature in Kannur was 40.2°C, recorded on March 14, 2022. This temperature also becomes the joint-holder of the all-time 3rd highest record for the station, tying with the 39.0°C recorded on 9th March 2016 (for data period from 1978 till date).
