Israel says full confidence in India’s security under PM Modi

India and Israeli teams are coordinating a new visit date.

Underlining their strong bond, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he has full confidence in India’s security under PM Narendra Modi.

The teams from both countries are coordinating a new visit date, according to the Israeli PM’s Office.

The Finance Ministers of both countries, Bezalel Smotrich and Nirmala Sitharaman, had signed a Bilateral Investment Agreement (BIA) in New Delhi in September. This was expected to aid reciprocal investments from both countries.

Trade deal talks soon

In a separate development, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that negotiations with Israel for an early harvest trade deal will resume soon.

India is keen to collaborate with Israel in areas such as agriculture tech, innovation, mobility and services
