People's Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Manpreet Singh Badal questioned the moral right of CM Parkash Singh Badal to continue in the office,in the wake of the clashes in his constituency Lambi.

People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Manpreet Singh Badal questioned the moral right of CM Parkash Singh Badal to continue in the office,in the wake of the clashes in his constituency Lambi.

In a hard-hitting statement,PPP chief described Sunday’s polling as “an election of blood, gore and violence.” “The sight of burning vehicles in the constituency of the CM is a telling indicator of sorry state of affairs where the ruling party has to resort to such tactics,” he said.

100 armed persons took control over the polling booths in the CM’s own constituency,he said and added: “It is a pathetic state that village Mann witnessed such violent incidents.”

“SAD has lost confidence in its own ability. So it has turned to goons and anti-social elements to prevent its rout. One cannot understand how the CM and his family were forced to indulge in booth capturing,” he added.
